Decodable book(ディコーダブルブック）の一番最初のレベルです。42音を学び、単語も徐々に読めるようになったら次は物語や文章を読んでみましょう。今まで学んだ音をいくつかの引っかけ単語だけで読めるように作られているため子供達が自力で読み進めることができます。レベルは1〜4まで（各16冊）ありますが、それぞれのレベルで「ノンフィクション」「フィクション」「ファンタジー」の3種類のシリーズが用意されています。3つの異なるシリーズがあることで子供達も飽きること無く「本を楽しみながら自力で読もう」事ができ「出来る」という自信をつけることができます。
This is the very first level of the Decodable Book series. Once you’ve learned the 42 sounds and can gradually read words on your own, try reading stories and passages. These books are designed so that children can read them on their own using only the sounds they’ve learned so far, with just a few “tricky” words. There are four levels (1 through 4, with 16 books each), and each level offers three different series: “Nonfiction,” “Fiction,” and “Fantasy.” With these three distinct series, children can “enjoy reading on their own” without getting bored, which helps them build confidence in their ability to read.
