「ジョリーフォニックス・リーダーズ アワー・ワールド　レッドレベル」は、読み始めの子供たちに向けた、完全にデコード可能な絵本です。これは、2020年にジョリーフォニックスのリニューアルの一環として初めて発売された「アー・ワールド」シリーズにおける、2番目のリーダーズセットです。
 
語彙は慎重に厳選されており、ジョリーフォニックスを使って読み書きを学んでいる生徒のために特別に設計されています。
 
• この「レッド・レベル」（初級）のテキストでは、デコード可能な規則的な単語（ジョリー・フォニックスの第1段階で教えられる42の文字音から構成される単語）のみを使用しており、ごく少数の「トリッキー・ワード」（この段階では完全にデコードできないが頻繁に使用される単語）が含まれています。
 
• 本書で使用されているすべての「トリッキーワード」と文字の音は、表紙の内側に記載されています。これらは、読み始める前の簡単な練習課題として活用できます。
 
• 「lamb」の「b」のように、発音されない文字には薄い文字が使用されています。
 
• 巻末には、理解度確認の質問やディスカッションのトピックが掲載されています。これらにより、生徒が本文を読むだけでなく、その意味を理解できるようになります。

The Jolly Phonics Readers Level 1 Our World are fully decodable books for new readers. They are the second set of readers within the Our World series that was first launched in 2020 as part of the Jolly Phonics refresh. They have been written with a carefully controlled vocabulary, and are specifically designed for students who are learning to read and write with Jolly Phonics. • The text in these Red Level Books (first level) uses only decodable regular words (words that are made up from the 42 letter sounds taught in the first stage of Jolly Phonics) and a small number of ‘tricky’ words (frequently used words that are not fully decodable at this stage).
• All of the tricky words and letter sounds used in this book are shown on the front inside cover. These can be used as a quick practice activity before starting the book.
• Faint type is used for silent letters, like the in lamb.
• Comprehension questions and discussion topics are included at the end of the book.
 
These ensure that students are not only able to read the text, but also get meaning from it.
